PTSD Relief

Oct 27, 2017 | Advice | 0 comments

Having recently been diagnosed with PTSD, I have been prescribed road cycling, mountain biking and hiking by my psychiatrist.

When I’m outdoors in the fresh air I feel as if the veil of darkness that clouds my day is completely lifted. When I’m alone cycling or hiking I’m relaxed which subconsciously gives my brain chance to process my memories which aides the PTSD recovery process. If you know anyone who is silently suffering please drag them outside for something as simple as a walk, it works wonders.
